Little DouDou first outing

Last week I brought my parents for eyes check-up,

since there is no one to take care of Little DouDou

we brought her along.

She was standing on the sofa looking around curiously.

.

.

Mom's check up took up more time than we expected,

DouDou was feeling restless

so XP and I brought her downstairs to play

on the linked bridge joined The MegaMall to The Garden.

.

We went back to the hospital where XP found a playroom.

.

In there, Little DouDou met a new friend her age.

.

Her favourite toy - a fork.

.

.

We left the hospital after 3 hours, we were hungry and DouDou was sleepy.

.

We rushed through the lunch and went home, a tiring day.

7am - sweep, exercise, breakfast

8pm - sudoku

12pm - lunch, mop

1pm - sudoku

5pm - gardening

7pm - bath, TV news, dinner

9pm - sudoku

10pm - sleep

Mom helped a bit.

Mom is taking care of little Doudou,

so dad is doing all the house works.

about 5 hours old.

She is a big one, weight 8.5 lbs (3.9 kg)

奶奶和爺爺

爸爸從來不主動提起往事,

許多我和弟弟所知道的大部份來自長輩和爸爸的兄姐.

幾年前弟弟心血來潮想編我們家的族譜,

遇見親戚們就不斷的問五六十年前的事.

上個星期我們回老家吃飯,

弟弟靠想像和有限的資料"推出"了以下的"結論":

爺爺因曾祖父遺留下的產業, 生活過得還算富裕.

(大伯說他們小時候家裡有汽車, 那是1930年代)

奶奶比爺爺年輕許多, 她有個弟弟還跟隨著爺爺學做鞋子.

(據說爺爺做的鞋子遠近馳名)

但後來不知怎麼的鞋廠被舅公佔了, 爺爺的眼睛也開始看不清了.

家裡窮, 爺爺釘木屐讓大伯到街上去賣.

.

爸爸四歲, 奶奶到舅公家借錢過年, 回到家後神情悲傷.

(姑媽記得清楚, 說奶奶出門前還笑容盈盈,

和回到家後的表情是兩個極端) 她吩咐姑媽照顧弟弟們後又出門了.

.

(大伯說, "那天一直下雨, 我抱著媽媽的屍體回家....")

奶奶跳吧生河自殺了.

"幾塊木板釘起來就下葬了."

我爸

我祖籍广东东莞,

1850年左右我爸爸的爷爷的爷爷来到当时的

马来亚半岛(Malaya)霹雳州(Perak)的小镇端落(Tronoh).

第一代被卖猪仔, 第二代坐拥锡矿场, 第三四代家财被花光赌尽,

第五代的我爸在吉隆坡茨厂街长大, 从小生活困苦.

半工半读的念完大学后就一直为家庭和生活拼搏,

让我和弟弟们都过着舒适安稳的日子.

我和我爸一样都不善于表达感情; 只是想让他知道因为有他, 我很骄傲.

mom's birthday

It's mom's birthday, we had a small party last night,

went for Korean food at Jusco Bukit Tinggi and a small cake at home.

I ate the cake but left the butter alone,

as usual, mom would not want to waste food,

so she kept all the butter as bread spread.

XP is putting candles on the cake.
