Food in North Korea

individual steamboat
.

duck barbeque,

seldom see this back in Malaysia, normally only pork or beef

.

There is only ONE type of ice cream here,

this is what I found in one of the shops at our hotel lobby,

and it was wrapped in cling wrap together with the cone !

Last year (2006), I went to North Korea with my father,
basically the country is grey, cold and quiet,
but still I managed to take some nice photos.

All these were taken on the way to other towns,
we were not allowed to stay over at any places besides the appointed hotel in PyongYang(平壤),
so there were a lot of travellings during our 4 days in North Korea.

I was so surprised and excited when I reached this small village.
After days in PyongYang looking at oversized statues and cold marble buildings,
this place appeared to me a warm and friendly back to ancient Korea.
The old low-roof houses locate besides a brook with many bridges.
